The UTEP Trombone Studio and Band Area welcomes World-renowned trombone soloist, Peter Steiner to campus on February 6, 2024. Mr. Steiner will perform and record with the UTEP Wind SYmphony under the direction of Dr. Andrew Hunter.

Dr. Wilson presents a clinic on How to Start a Career in College Teaching at the Big Twelve Trombone Conference in Lubbock, TX in January, 2024.

Congratulations to Jacob Ramos, one of three winners in the 2023-24 UTEP Concerto and Aria Competition! Mr. Ramos will perform Eric Ewazen’s Ballade for Bass Trombone and String Orchestra with the UTEP Symphony Orchestra on March 5, 2024 at 7:30pm in the Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. Congratulations Jacob!

Dr. Wilson performs the Eric Richards Concerto for Trombone Quartet and Band on November 6th at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with Bearry Hearn, Richard Harris and Pete Madsen.

Dr. Wilson performs Flood with Richard Harris on November 4th at the 2023 Context Conference at the Eastman School of Music.
